A First for A Blog

(3 min read)

Welcome to my first blog. There is a first for everything. Here goes my first blog entry.

On this blog, I will be writing about my observations on a daily basis pertaining to all things about energy or qi (气). Mostly I will just use words on this  but may just share with you some visuals or images.

First and foremost, I am glad that Blogger still exists. I was looking high and low for a platform ever since the Great Conjunction in December 2020. Lo and behold, the energy or qi just brought me back to Blogger again. I thought it was dead and defunct.

How quaint is the qi!

It is pretty quaint too since this is the last day of the Rat year based on the solar calendar. Tomorrow on 4th February 2021, we welcome the new energy marked by the arrival of the Ox. Today after 10.58 pm, the new energy arrives.

Li Chun (立春) which marks the first day of spring marks the day when the Chinese welcomed spring. Quaintly, a lot of so called Chinese metaphysics masters advise people to deposit money into the banks as it is auspicious and more so at the auspicious hours.

Personally, I used to believe this but after a while I discovered that it was causing more work and unnecessary traffic for the  bank.

Why make a deliberate trip to the bank to deposit your money and waste time on Li Chun?  Why deprive the others of their time with their legit banking needs?

I think giving the bank employees more unnecessary work by this silly act generates more bad qi than good qi. Moreover in this digital age, how would this "auspicious ritual" make one richer in the new year. The majority of us are already using online banking and digital transactions.

Would it not be a better thing for those Chinese metaphysics masters to advise people about awareness and mindfulness about money instead? Are people acting out of fear by carrying out that "auspicious ritual"? Do they have a scarcity mindset?

Well,  I just hope that more people will learn to harvest the good qi in the new year of the Ox and may I wish everyone a Happy Li Chun and a blessed, Ox-some, Oxtraordinary (in the good sense), Ox-spicious and Ox-city Ox Year Ahead.

May those great Ox-iliary stars shine on you this Ox year!

OXOX
