Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes (2 min read)

Your eyes are the windows to your soul.  The eyes are fascinating to look at.

Today I was  talking to a group of young people about Chinese face reading and they seemed pretty excited.  I told them that Chinese face reading was an ancient art which originated from traditional Chinese medicine practice to ascertain one's health and qi.

The Chinese art of face reading was developed by court officials for use in the imperial courts to read imperial scholars and any use of talents in the imperial palace.

Today, I will cover the eyes in Chinese face reading. In our current times when almost everyone has to put on a mask in this Covid-19 environment, the eyes become more focused and one can practise reading eyes easily and readily.  I believe there will be little offence too when you can only look at the eyes when you communicate with another masked person.

Eyes come in all shapes and sizes. To me, the most important thing to look for eyes that are not aggressive which I term them safe eyes. It does come with some experience dealing with people over the years.

If you can pick up energy vibes about people, it becomes easy.  Another thing to look out for are the size of the eyes.  People who have small eyes are less prone to wanting drama or being emotional. The small eyes just keep everything in.

There are many eyes which I see these days that are tired or sad. I guess it has to do with the problems people have which are caused by the lock down or the restrictions imposed on them.  There seems to be much pent up emotions.

I remember telling my young friends to look out for their loved ones who have eyes looking down most of the time.  I mentioned in my earlier blog here that those eyes signal depressive energies.

Another type of eyes that you should look out for are the "sampaku eyes" or "三白眼“. This refers to eyes with a small but floaty iris surrounded by much white.  The people with too much white in their eyes are more likely to look out for themselves first. The picture on my blog here shows the opposite of "sampuku eyes".

So remember to look out for the eyes when you look at faces. The lyrics of "Bright Eyes" by Art Garfunkel will be a good reminder:

Bright eyes, burning like fire;

Bright eyes, how can you close and fail?

How can the light that burned so brightly

Suddenly burn so pale?

Bright eyes

Watch those eyes and you will want them bright!
