The Drama
I find the Squid Game one interesting Korean drama series that is both dark and real. I have visited South Korea several times before and have had encounters with the average Kim or Park as well as wealthy ones who own real estate in Kangnam.
On one of my visits, I was introduced to a wealthy lady who was dressed from top to toe sporting the Chanel label. I was told by my Korean friend that her nickname was "Chanel Queen" and indeed she was. She drove a sports model of Mercedes Benz and travelled to Guam on weekend golf trips just like taking a train ride to Itaewon from Seoul Station for the average Kim or Park.
In the Squid Game, there were 456 people who were lured into the games as they were living on life's loose ends that involved money, health and relationships. The bait was 45.6 billion won to be won by the last person standing.
From what I see, it really reflected the challenges that the average Kim or Park face on a daily basis. The games represented the trials and tribulations one face. In the show, the 456 recruits were given the chance to outwit one another in the games. Losers were inevitably killed by gun shots. To me, it reflects the dark shadows in current Korean society where the suicide rates remain high.
So how were the 456 people recruited for the games? The Salesman in Squid Game played by Gong Yoo was certainly very trustworthy such that the 456 people took up his offer.

The trust is certainly a trait that a salesperson needs besides the ability to influence. Often, people think that selling skills are the only skills needed. In reality, the trust and the ability to influence holds key.
As we look at the Yang Earth day master for today's segment, the Korean actor certainly has it in him. Most of us would believe and listen to people we trust and we feel grounded with. This is the 1 revelation of the salesman in the Squid Game which you must know.
Our Korean celebrity Gong Yoo is a Yang Earth day master and I suspect that he played the role of The Salesman in Squid Game easily.
