ABCs of Bazi (1 min read)
To many people, the understanding and learning of Bazi or the 8 characters of your birth date is a complicated thing.
Why is it complicated? These are the 7 reasons people think that Bazi is complicated.
- Chinese characters are used and thus it is complicated.
- They do not know the Chinese language.
- They believe that it the revealing the secrets of the heavens.
- There is a mysterious exchange that is needed to understand the secrets of Bazi.
- Knowing Bazi will seal their fate forever.
- They believe that the knowledge can only be understood by the privileged few and they are not one of the few.
- They have no idea where to start.
To me, learning Bazi is like learning the ABCs first. If you remember, you started learning A to Z first if you wanted to start with the English language.
So what are the ABCs of Bazi to know first?
In my humble opinion, it would be learning the polarity of the 5 elements.

Knowing that there are 5 elements and that they have a Yang and Yin side to each element is the start which are the ABCs of Bazi.
