Food Glorious Food (2 min read)
I love food and like the way Anthony Bourdain made simple food so glorious in his documentaries. Best of all, I saw him in person once in Dubai airport in 2015 on the same flight to NYC.
Recently there has been news of his dream of having a food hall in NYC which will feature Singapore hawker food. It seems that the food hall will be opened soon as the pandemic takes a retarding move as vaccination rates are up. There will be the famous Hainanese chicken rice at the Bourdain Market.
The mention of Anthony Bourdain in the news made me check on his Day Master and indeed it is timely for me to look at Yin Water, Gui.
Though he is no longer around with us, I remember him as the chef who said this:"Good food is very often, even most often, simple food."
I cannot agree more. Do you?
