Why is 8 Significant?

Why is 8 Significant (2 min read)

8 is considered an auspicious number to the Chinese because it sounds like "to prosper" or "prosperity". To me, it marks my 80th blog here as I count down to my 100th blog. This means that I have a mere 20 articles to offer here. Thus it has much significance to me.

8 to me looks like the Chinese character δΉ™ pronunced as "yi", which is what I will share here today.

Yi is Yin Wood. To understand and remember the characteristics of Yin Wood, just look at the way the Chinese character represents itself. It is tidy but wavy and soft.

So if we relate to what we see in nature that is tidy, wavy and soft, the imagery of creepers or padi grass comes to mind. Resilience and flexibility are two key traits of Yin Wood.

Another trait of people who have Yin Wood in their charts is that they possess the strong ability to talk their way through. They can become the best con-artists or the best motivational speakers. It is just a fine line away as it just a matter of perspective.

Being social butterflies, they love being in the lime light and be easily swayed.  There a few well known people who have these traits.

If you have any Yi in your natal chart, please make good use of it and "Yi" your way out of a bad situation or up your likeability in a good situation.

Bill Clinton used it well to get himself two terms in office even though he was impeached for lying under oath because of  his affair with Monica Lewinsky.  Oprah Winfrey became a wealthy person with her ability to "talk with influence." There are many more examples but I believe you can learn to use your Yin Wood in your birth chart to your best advantage.

There are 8 pillars in our natal chart but honestly we just need to make use of 1 element to succeed well in life.
