Lost in Qimen

Lost (3 min read)

"It is a lot easier to be lost than found. It is the reason we are always searching and rarely discovered - so many locks and not enough keys - so many locks not enough keys." by Sarah Dessen

Borrowing  the above quote from American novelist, Sarah Dessen, I will share with you about using qimen dunjia  forecasting to find my lost key. It has been a while since I last shared anything about this area of Chinese metaphysics. A lot of visitors to my blog seem pretty fascinated with the topic too.

My tale started on Monday when I wanted to get my key to retrieve some items to my locked drawers. A few months ago, I used the key and happily stored it away.  On Monday, I just forgot where I put my key.  I have a few unlocked drawers which I could have possibly kept my key there and started looking for my precious key in those places.

To my dismay, I could not find it. Then, I decided to open a chart and use qimen to see if my key could be found.

What did I see in the qimen chart below?

In the south palace, I saw 9th Earth (red circle in the chart) and Open door (yellow square in the chart).

I looked at the chart and was glad because it meant that my precious key could be found.  Additionally, my precious key was hidden.

There was an indicator that my key was near some form of money.

Seeing the chart, I knew where to look.  My key was definitely in one of my unlocked drawers where I kept two old US$1 bills  (leftover from my previous travels).  Initially I had searched that same drawer but could not see the key.  This time round, I touched the bag where I stored the two old US$1 bills and flipped over the bag.

My precious key was just right on the other side of the US$1 bill.  I uttered, "Thank you, qimen!"  The Universe is right again this time.

I slept early that night as my "lost" became found.
