What is face value?

Face and Inaction (2 min read)

Recently, 1 secret of mine was revealed to a group of young people when I told them that I am versed in the art of Chinese face reading.  They started asking me several questions about this ancient art.  One of them asked me to fortune tell for her which I told her that it was not the case.  Chinese metaphysics if used for fortune telling would have been an insult to the wise sages of the Chinese civilisation.

They seem fascinated about my ability to read them and wanted to know more. I started telling them about why reading faces was fun and how it could enrich one's influence with people. Life is about communicating and influencing people for without it means life meaningless.  They all agreed with me.

Then, they started asking me if I could  read their faces.  They wanted to know about themselves more.  To me being aware of 1 thing about your good self from Chinese face reading is precious.

I did a scan of the faces of my young audience and told them to use their cognition abilities to good use.  There is a tendency of them to overthink and I checked this with them.  The response they gave was a resounding yes.

The lesson learnt from me for my young audience is not to overthink and take action.  This is because overthinking leads to no action and thus zero.

Overthinking, Inaction, Zero.
