What's up, Doc?

Lunar or Solar

Happy 2023, my dear readers of this blog.

When you celebrate the lunar new year this year, it would still be the solar year of the tiger and lunar year of the rabbit.  Confused? I believe that you are.

So what do I mean.  The lunar new year to welcome 2023 takes place on 22 January which is the first day of the big year (大年初一).

In most countries where there is a Chinese majority or Korean majority or Vietnamese majority, there will be a holiday. Thus,  the people will celebrate their traditions for at least 2 days to a maximum of 15 days.  You will see that in China where the people will return to their hometowns to celebrate the lunar new year festivities with families, friends and loved ones.

However, the lunar new year is still in the OX month of the lunar calendar.  The new energy of the Rabbit year crosses over in the Tiger month based on the solar calendar. The cross over which is "Li Chun" takes place on 4 Feb this year.

Some masters who practise Chinese metaphysics have this practice of getting people to draw money on "Li Chun". I am not sure why they make the banks so busy and make people draw money from banks and ATMs a day earlier and deposit them on "Li Chun".

Would this single action change your destiny or fate for the year?

A rather interesting that you can try out on the energies on "Li Chun" is to balance an egg on that day.  It seems that the egg can stand on that day.  I believe that social media would be flooded by egg standing photos and long lines at ATMs and banks on "Li Chun".

As for me, I would like to feel happy on that day and spend time with loved ones.

"What's up, Doc?" - Bugs Bunny would say and I would say "Happy Li Chun, BB!"
