Tai Sui
This is the time of the year where the word Tai Sui is on everyone's lips especially stakeholders of Chinese metaphysics especially those who were born in the year of the Dragon. It is also common to hear of "offending the Tai Sui".
So what is the Tai Sui? And who/what you will be offending?
The Tai Sui is just the name for Jupiter the planet. Since we are so far away from this planet, how can you offend Jupiter? This is because the star which is personified as a heavenly general or one of the 12 Chinese zodiac cycles opposes Jupiter each year. This was believed by the pagan Chinese or average Chinese folk that the Jade Emperor used it to control the mortal world.
One must understand that ancient China was mainly an agriculture economy and most did not have education. To make the average Chinese man understand what was going on in the skies and the Universe, the Tai Sui was something that was pivotal to let him know that planetary energies could have an effect on him.
Thus if one offends the Tai Sui that year which is those born in the year of the dragon in 2024, the old style fortune teller would advise him or her to make offerings at the temple to ease the offensive effect. This was the person would be star of the year and thus offending the Tai Sui.
In our modern era where everyone wants to be star online and offline, offending the Tai Sui would be the greatest opportunity to stand out as the ONE. This would mean being a helpful person to oneself as well as to others. I would think that this is AWESOME.
The health could take a toll though. To be the diva for the year where all eyes are on you, it could be worth the whle.
For those folks out there who are born with the dragon in any of your birth chart, congratulations as you have to be out there to do your needful stuff and SHINE.
You have to wait another 12 years if you want to hide away.
